What You'll Do:
As a Festival Foods Frozen Food/Dairy Assistant Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide Exceptional Guest Service: Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you’ll handle each interaction with professionalism and care. Your willingness to help guests with what they need will make a positive impact every day.
- Lead Department Operations: Leads the Frozen/Dairy department in the absence of the department manager and provides ongoing support in overseeing day-to-day operations.
- Promote a Positive Culture: Reinforces Festival culture, guest service, and performance expectations to all Frozen/Dairy associates, ensuring they meet company standards and goals.
- Train and Coach Associates: Trains new Frozen/Dairy associates, providing guidance, feedback, and management support as they develop.
- Conduct Performance Reviews: Assists with performance reviews for department associates and provides coaching to ensure growth.
- Address Policy Violations: Documents and addresses violations of company policies/procedures, taking corrective action when necessary, including termination.
- Supervise and Guide Team: Supervises department associates, offering guidance and addressing any challenges to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage Inventory and Pricing: Manages inventory, ensuring appropriate stock levels and that products are properly priced.
- Communicate Across Departments: Communicates effectively with the Store Director, Frozen/Dairy Manager, and other department managers to maintain high standards and exceed guest expectations.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provides superior customer service, assisting guests with locating products, taking special orders, and resolving issues as they arise.
- Lead by Example: Leads by example, contributing to daily departmental tasks, from organizing to cleaning work areas and maintaining shelves.
- Ensure Accurate Timekeeping: Responsible for timekeeping accuracy within the department, addressing any scheduling discrepancies in collaboration with HR.
- Maintain Quality Standards: Ensures quality standards are met consistently, including product availability by 100% at set times, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Honor Committments: Regular and timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, providing adequate notice for occasional absences.
- Support the Team: Other duties as assigned.

- Leadership in Retail: Strong communication skills, capable of managing a diverse team in a fast-paced, retail environment.
- Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of safety protocols, including lifting techniques, equipment operation, and proper handling of tools.
- Equipment Operation: Comfortable operating equipment like forklifts, power jacks, and balers.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time hourly position. The work schedule will include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
